SES are a local Health and Safety Consultancy providing all environmental services, testing, sustainability, energy and analysis requirements for clients throughout the South East.

We are currently looking to recruit a BREEAM Assessor to join our busy Sustainability team. This role will primarily be carrying out BREEAM UK New Construction Assessments, taking the lead from enquiry through to completion, although other BREEAM scope assessments may be required.  This role reports to the Associate Director of Sustainability and will work closely with other BREEAM and Sustainability professionals as part of a small team.  You will have the opportunity to form and develop this role by utilising your expertise as a BREEAM champion to explore and navigate this evolving work area. Existing works consist of a number of large office and mixed use schemes.

This role will include but is not limited to the following: 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out BREEAM projects in full for Weston Homes and external clients.
  • To assist in developing the BREEAM knowledge base.
  • To assist with Code, BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment & HQM assessments as required.
  • To assist with mentoring other Sustainability Team members as required.
  • To achieve project priorities and financial targets set.
  • To actively promote the work of SES and seek new BREEAM business opportunities.
  • To undertake the minimum CPD hours required for your qualified work areas.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the post.

Skills and Experience

As a successful candidate you must be a qualified BREEAM UK New Construction Assessor. Additional qualifications may be advantageous and may progress into future work areas. It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of managing BREEAM UK New Construction projects from Pre-Assessment through to final certification. You will be detail orientated and have impeccable accuracy. In addition to this you will possess the following: 

  • Ability to write BREEAM reports meeting auditable quality standards
  • An understanding of SBEM methodology and London Plan requirements
  • Ability to use basic modelling software (Bluebeam Revu would be advantageous)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
